Born in Cairo, Egypt in 1932, printmaker Mireille Kramer immigrated to Israel in 1951 at age 19. She enrolled at the Jerusalem University and in 1953 helped Dada artist Marcel Janco and other Israeli artists create the Ein-Hod artist colony in Northern Israel, near Haifa.
